A young biologist named Mary Jane, who specializes in lepidoptery (the study of moths and butterflies), leads a life that, while not perfect, she finds fulfillment in through her son. However, tragedy strikes and her world is dramatically overturned. To escape the turmoil of her reality, Mary Jane undertakes a solitary bush project in an isolated and surreal landscape where she begins to experience mysterious phenomena. The chance to become a mother once more emerges, but it comes with a significant cost for Mary Jane and her remaining family.
